Playing in the Past:
Summer Break Camp For Kids
Calling all kids ages 9-12 . . . to the Onondaga Historical Association Museum & Research Center for a week long camp that provides educational enrichment but also allows kids to have fun playing, exploring, creating and experimenting with history!!. The camp runs July 10-14, 24-28 & August 7-11 from 8:30am-4:30pm at the museum located at 321 Montgomery Street in downtown Syracuse.
Each day campers will blast into the past and meet people from Syracuses history: Native Americans, canal boat captains, civil war soldiers, female spies, Frenchmen and more.
OHA campers will play games from the past, dress-up and make crafts from years ago. The week ends with an exhibit and dramatic presentation by the campers for their parents.
This most excellent adventure history camp is held in a safe and supervised environment while parents are working and guarantees that campers will make new friends and experience new things during the entire week.
Cost is $125 per child non-member, $100 members. Campers must bring their own lunch and beverage. Snacks will be provided. Limit of 20 campers. Call 428-1864 Ext 313 to register no later than June 30th.
And remember, OHA . . . is your destination for inspiration.
