Follow elephants from its doorway to an underground theatre for an entertaining presentation of “What is an Elephant?” folktales from Afghanistan and Central Asia.

Performed by the OHA History Upstagers, a volunteer community theatre group, these interactive tales illuminate the history, culture and traditions of country struggling to rebuild from the ashes of devastation.

The program is done in conjunction with the CNY Community Reads 2007 book choice The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Recommended for adults and children, it is free through the NYS Senator John DeFrancisco Heritage Grant Program administered by the Cultural Resources Council.
